During my trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico this past weekend [for Esther and Daniel’s engagement photos] I stayed at the Sheraton Hacienda del mar Gold Resort and Spa.

It was pretty there.

For everyone who is going to Esther and Daniel’s wedding, these pictures are just a preview of what you’ll be experiencing.

Here is the backside of the entrance to the hotel-more inside.

Cabo San Lucas is such a beautiful place. We rented a car and were able to drive into downtown and eat and just shop around.

It’s definitely a place you have to visit.

Sorry that these are all the pictures I took while at the Sheraton. We got there Friday night, and I took these photos Saturday morning, and then it rained and poured all day saturday! and then we checked out Sunday and it was still raining.

But I hope that you like what you did get to see!

Here are photos from Esther and Daniel‘s Engagment shoot.

We did this shoot in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico–Where they are getting married in May.

It was raining the day we planned to do the engagement shoot, so there’s not as much variety as there should be since we had to squeeze in their engagement shoot before we left. But its better to rain when we were there then for their wedding.

Here they are at the Sheraton Hacienda Del Mar Golf and Spa Resort just looking out to the rain.

PINIMAGE

Here they are at the Esperanza Resort where they will be getting married.

And here on the rocks on the beach that is part of the Esperanza Resort.

Writing names in the sand is harder then you think because of all the foot prints.

There will be more photos of the Cabo trip in my next posts. These one’s were just of Esther and Daniel for their engagement pictures.

Banchan a la carte has full service catering and event planning.

They catered for the HSBC grand opening in Korea Town.

They asked me to take a few pictures of their food during the event. So here are some photos of their food.

Here’s a salad.

HSBC had their grand opening [on March 4, 2010] of one of their branches in Korea Town which is located in the Solair building. This is the first branch to be opening in Korea Town.

Here is HSBC’s commitment to the environment which is located on a wall near the ATM.

My style is more photo journalistic, so I definitely like capturing candids a lot more. But I know HSBC wanted some individual photos and group photos, so I had people pose for a picture.

So here are some representatives and employees of HSBC (not just from this branch, but from other branches as well).

Now, thats enough of that:)

Here’s more of what was going on that night.

There were a few speakers at this opening, so here is everyone listening.

PINIMAGE

There were even some prizes for people who knew answers to some questions and history of HSBC.

PINIMAGE

There was media and people from the newspaper.

PINIMAGE

HSBC even gave 3 $5000 donations to the Los Angeles Conservation Corps, to Breathe LA, and to Charles H. Kim Elementary School.

There was also ribbon cutting!

Here are the employees of the Branch.

And branch members along with members from other branches.

PINIMAGE

Here’s their press release with my photo!!:)

Here’s the gallery as always so you don’t have to read my ramblings.

If anyone from the event would like me to send them a picture, please let me know. I can definitely email you the photo:)

I did Sabin Rich‘s headshots. He’s an actor here in Los Angeles.

Here are a few photos that are straight on.

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

This one includes some body.

PINIMAGE

I really like this one on the stairs. (I like doing head shots in the alley way behind my apartment complex. Not only is it convenient for me, but there are a lot of different walls to use. Normally, I don’t get to use the stairs because there’s always a homeless guy laying down next to it. But not today! So Sabin got lucky!)

PINIMAGE

This photo highlights more of his eyes. You can see some of the green in his eyes here.

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

Here’s more of a business look rather than casual.

PINIMAGE

Here’s the gallery of Sabin’s Photos.

It’s different shooting actors versus models.

With actors, you want to evoke more of a character in your photos. So during head shot sessions, I have that person think of the characters that they want to play or auditioning for.

The photos for head shots are of course more of your face. So you want to show everything through your face. I hate blank stares. As Tyra Banks on America’s Next Top Model would say, you have to “smize” (smile with your eyes).

With models, the body shape can be played with more. It’s more about the angles.

So that’s my little spiel on a few differences between actors and models.

Anyways, I hope you like the photos!
