Esther and Daniel went to the Beverly Hills Courthouse and got their civil marriage done. Because they are getting married in Mexico, the rules are a little bit different, so they had to get a civil marriage done.

I of course, went with them to not only be their photographer but as their witness.

Here they are signing the paperwork

Waiting for the judge to call them so they can have their ceremony.

PINIMAGE

Here they are standing in front of the judge.

Poor thing started to cry.

PINIMAGE

I now pronounce you Husband and Wife. The judge even threw some flowers up in the air.

PINIMAGE

You may now kiss the bride!

PINIMAGE

Here I am signing as their witness. (It looks like I just woke up :/ don’t hate)

PINIMAGE

Yay! They’re married!

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

Their  real wedding ceremony is this weekend in Cabo San Lucas at the Esperanza Resort.

I unfortunately will not be able to take pictures during the ceremony (because I’m the Maid of Honor) but will be able to take pictures throughout the trip! Christine Chang is the wedding photographer so check her website later for pictures from the wedding!

  • Jesse - What, no Jackie Chan?!

Esther had her Bachelorette party in San Diego. We stayed at the Westin in the Gaslamp and went to Yardhouse, and then went bar/club hopping. We went to Star Bar (for some reason, I always have to start the night off here, cheap drinks!). We then headed to Fluxx, then Stingaree, and then to Andaz aka Ivy. We didn’t stay in one place too long.

So this post is for the start of the night. Since SLRs aren’t allowed to be taken into clubs, I had to leave my camera in the hotel room. One of Esther’s bridesmaid’s, Shannon brought her point and shoot, so I was using her camera. I have to wait for her to send me the pictures to post those up. (I need to invest in a good point and shoot soon).

PINIMAGE

I’m not a big fan of tackiness and trashiness. So I asked that Esther’s bachelorette party not do phallic stuff. I didn’t want to be walking around looking trashy.

But, Esther’s Bridesmaid Sam ended up getting some balloons.

I have to give kudo’s to her because I didn’t even notice for a while that there were symbols on the balloons, and it was more cartoon-y then anything.

PINIMAGE

Here’s Esther with her tiara and martini glass.

PINIMAGE

Our bling for the night.

PINIMAGE

Everyone in the room was highly unskilled. So Esther had to pop the champagne.

PINIMAGE

We played a game where everyone brought in underwear that represented themselves. Esther had to try to figure out who brought what. She she got it wrong she had to take a swig from her martini glass.

Sam’s was the pink one that said HAVE FUN. I’ve decided not to post that one up because she wore it for the picture. I wont do embarassing photos 🙂

We took a shots before we left. Here a picture of my ‘shot glass’

PINIMAGE

Everyone getting ready to take their shots, including me!

PINIMAGE

It was also Shannons birthday, so Esther got Shannon a cake from Michele Coulon Dessertier. The cake was bomb! It was Nathan’s Lemon Cake. We took it to yard house with us and ate it for dessert.

PINIMAGE

So that’s it for this blog post. Once I get the pictures from Shannon there will be another post!

The later part of the night was filled with eating at Yard House seeing a few bachelor parties going on and talking and taking pictures with them. Leaving penis balloons randomly around downtown (on lamp posts and trash cans and trees). A dance battle at Fluxx. Having the director of Security at Andaz put us into the Hotel Escalade because we were all a little intoxicated , and convincing our driver to take us to get Mexican food. I don’t know how much of that was documented but it all happened 🙂

So I’ve ventured into a new category for photography.

Night life photography.

So what does that exactly mean?

I’m doing photography at night clubs!

If you don’t already know, I promote with Party til AM. We are an events company and we throw parties based on the lifestyles that we live.

Currently, we party at Ecco on Thursday nights and Opera+Crimson on Friday nights. I usually run the guestlist at Ecco and then VIP Host at Opera+Crimson. So if you ever want to get a table or want to get on the guestlist you can email me at chrissy@partytilam.com.

Anyways, this past thursday at Ecco we didn’t have a photographer for the night. But I just so happened to have my camera in my car because I was shooting the Kick off party for the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival just prior to arriving at Ecco. So I shot for a little bit after I was done running the guestlist.

I will also be shooting photography for The House of Glam, which is the sister company for Party til AM. I was approached to shoot for them a little while ago, and I will be shooting for them this Saturday, and future dates.

So it’s not like this was a spur of the moment decision, although shooting at Ecco was a spur of the moment thing. It’s something that I can add to the different things that I shoot. And shooting at clubs is something that is definitely different from what I usually do.

Thats a little bit of what I’m doing. An update about my life. 🙂

So, I’m not adding any pictures to this post except for the link to the photos.

I went to California Adventure with Jordan, Averi, Sue, and Grace.

I did Sue’s family photos the other week. When I found out she was going to Disneyland I told them if she goes to California Adventure I would totally go! (I got a 2fer ticket when I went to Disneyland to do Jae and Denise’s engagement photos).

So, we went to California adventure! 🙂

Here is Averi getting our map for us. (She got us ones that were in French)

PINIMAGE

Here is Jordan reading his map.

PINIMAGE

Averi reading hers.

PINIMAGE

Jordan giving Minnie Mouse a hug. The characters dress more “California-y”. It would have been cooler if she was in her actual polka dotted dress 🙂

PINIMAGE

So this place is supposed to be kid friendly right? Then why are all the lines sooo long?? So the kids got to eat some candy so they would be somewhat entertained

PINIMAGE

Here we are on the lady bug ride It’s exactly like the teacups but we’re in lady bugs.

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

We then went on a bugs life ride. Where you could smell different things- like the candy corn.

PINIMAGE

We then sat and watched Playhouse live. At the end of the day we asked Jordan what he liked the most. He said playhouse live.

PINIMAGE

He was totally into it!

PINIMAGE

Averi totally got caught again. She’s always picking her nose! But it’s ok at least she wasn’t rubbing it al over me like Jordan was on the way to the park. Jordan kept sticking his finger in his nose then rubbing his hands all over my arm in the car.

PINIMAGE

Here are the kids reading the map trying to figure out where we’re gonna go next.

PINIMAGE

The Carousel. Here are Averi and Grace. Me, Jordan and Sue sat on the bench. Jordan apparently doesn’t like riding them.

PINIMAGE

At the end of the day we asked Averi what her favorite part of the day was, and she said the carousel.

PINIMAGE

We went on another ride. But Averi was too short to ride on it.

PINIMAGE

This is the girl at the entrance of the ride giving her a fast pass. So that next time when she comes back and is tall enough, she can cut the line.

PINIMAGE

Here’s Jordan and Grace on the ride. It looks like they are having fun.

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

Sue said Jordan can have cotton candy (Averi was sleeping). Us adults didnt want him eating the whole thing, so me and Grace helped him eat it.

PINIMAGE

Here’s Jordan taking a picture of us on Sue’s Iphone.

PINIMAGE

We went on a Monsters Inc ride. Averi was too scared, so her eyes were covered the whole time.

PINIMAGE

And then we waited an hour and a half to watch the Aladdin Musical. Yes, you read that right. So we let Jordan play some games on the iphone and Averi watched some you tube videos of Aladdin. I love having an Iphone!

PINIMAGE

The musical was pretty good! I wasn’t expecting much but it was like a real broadway show!

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

I got really excited when I saw the flags come out. They even had short double flags too! It reminded me of high school when I was in color guard. Yes, I used to do color guard and used to be very fit.

PINIMAGE

I was looking for this when I was at Disneyland and I couldn’t find it. Why? Because it was at CA adventure! I wanted to do an engagement photo in front of this. There’s always next time 🙂

PINIMAGE

That was my trip to California adventure last week. I’m glad the kids had fun.

My favorite part of the day, the Musical and the Taffy! You have to get the Salt Water Taffy when you go there! It’s soooo goood! I think I ate it all in 2 days. And I got the medium bag. Yum!!
