I did a family shoot for the Kwok Family.

I did Jordan and Averi’s Christmas photos this past year. So I knew what to expect with them. (I had to bribe them after each photo with candy)

All these shots were taken at Laguna Beach.

Here are Chris and the kids.

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

Here are Sue and the kids walking to where we’re going to take the pictures.

PINIMAGE

Here’s the whole family.

PINIMAGE

Jordan likes to not look at the camera. And when he does, he’s usually making a funny face.

PINIMAGE

This is one of the few pictures where I have everyone actually looking at the camera.

PINIMAGE

So it looks like Sue is ready to catch Chris if he and the kids fall back, but she’s not. She’s actually trying to keep her balance.:)

PINIMAGE

Chris REALLY wanted to take photos right here. Sue didn’t, she said it was the ugliest spot on the beach. But we indulged him anyways.

PINIMAGE

Here are the kids.

PINIMAGE

I’m definitely working on my photoshop skills. And let’s just say I’m not that great yet trying to get rid of things and adding things. You can definitely tell where I tried to photoshop. Good thing Sue’s sister, Haejean is good at photo shop! She can photo shop the photos that they want. But here is my attempt.

PINIMAGE

I love how you can see their reflections in the water.

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

I like this photo. The water was coming up and it was really cold and the kids were trying to run away from the water. But Chris wanted them to pose for the picture:)

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

Hello Averi.

PINIMAGE

Jordan is off in his own little world.

PINIMAGE

I love love love these next 2.

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

Haha. She totally got caught.

PINIMAGE

I love reflection photos.

PINIMAGE

Hello

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

So we had lunch and the kids were kind of over taking pictures. But we still attempted, a little bit.

PINIMAGE

I like this picture because she’s totally drooling.

PINIMAGE

I’m gonna leave you with this photo.

PINIMAGE

The End.

Introducing the newly modified Chang Family!

PINIMAGE

They are a super cute family. Not only in looks 😉 but the way they just are.

We had Adeline tickle Cadence.

PINIMAGE

And we asked Adeline to hold Cadence’s hand.

PINIMAGE

We also asked Adeline to touch Cadence’s foot.

PINIMAGE

Adeline naturally grabbed Cadence’s big toe.

So we asked her to hold her foot.

PINIMAGE

So of course, she grabbed onto the foot.

This is more of the picture we were trying to go for. It’s almost there.

PINIMAGE

Here is everyone holding Cadence.

PINIMAGE

Here’s a mother/daughter photo.

PINIMAGE

Father/Daughter

PINIMAGE

Here are a few of Adeline playing the piano for Cadence

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

Here they are on Adeline’s couch.

PINIMAGE

So I was looking at this picture, and I realized I don’t have a picture where my sister is giving me a kiss. She’s usually covering my eyes or doing something mean. 😉 I still love my sister though.

Cadence started to cry so Adeline didn’t know what to do.

PINIMAGE

We were getting ready to leave to eat dinner and this is what I saw.

PINIMAGE

And then Adeline decided to poke Cadence’s eye.

PINIMAGE

Now here’s some random moments. That I just HAD to include!

I just thought these next two pictures were cute. This was after the family photo in front of their doorway. I love how she’s trying to balance.

PINIMAGE

And then using the door frame as support to get through the door.

PINIMAGE

This is super cute! I don’t think my dad was ever able to put a hair clip in my hair.

PINIMAGE

I think this photo is kind of funny. I just love the expression on Adeline’s face.

PINIMAGE

I’m going to leave you with this photo as the last photo. There are no solo photos of Adeline so here it is:)

PINIMAGE

If you’re wondering if you’ve seen Adeline before, I took her photos back in August. I believe she was just turning, or had just turned 2. Here’s her post.

I hope you enjoyed the photos!

  • Kimi Stubblefiedl - These are fabulous as usual!!

This is Cadence’s first official photo shoot. She is 4 weeks old!

I love babies!

Here she is sleeping.

PINIMAGE

Her mom Elizabeth left me alone with her, so I was just taking some test shots. I wasn’t sure what type of photos she wanted of Cadence.

So I kept wondering if she would come in, but she just left me alone with the baby. I told her to come in and let me know what type of photos she wanted.

She asked me if it was ok if she showed me some photos that she liked. And I said OF COURSE! She said she didn’t want to insult me of showing me pictures of types of photos she wanted. But I love it when people show me the types of photos that they want, so that way they are happy with the end product. I love input!

So after she showed me the photos I went back into Cadence’s room. And she didn’t come in. I told her to come in and she said she didn’t want to be bothersome. I told her no, she wouldn’t be. I love input. She said she didn’t want to be one of those people who are pushy and say a lot. I told her if that happens and I get annoyed of her, I probably won’t be engaged in a conversation with her and if she asks me questions me answers will be short. That never happened.:)

Anyways, enough about the story leading into the shoot.

Here are the pictures!

Here are her little flaky feet and a glance at her butt:)

PINIMAGE

Here she is all happy about the get her diaper changed.

PINIMAGE

Please put some clothes on me! I’m cold! I’m not very happy anymore.

PINIMAGE

Now here’s the more creative stuff.

Cadence was born at 10:05

PINIMAGE

We took of the diaper hoping she would not pee on the clock.

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

Now it’s piano time!

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

Now onto her sisters couch/chair.

Please stop taking pictures of me! I’m tired!

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

I just want to sleep!

PINIMAGE

(I love her little rolls and creases!)

Now it’s time to move outside.

Home sweet home.

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

Are you going to let me sleep now? I’m tired.

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

So we had her lay on her parent’s bed. Then decided to take off her diaper. She totally peed on the bed. Well, at least she didn’t pee on the clock 😉

PINIMAGE

Poor thing had a hard afternoon.

PINIMAGE

That’s it for the solo pictures of Cadence. Once her dad and older sister got home, we took some family photos. Those I will save for the next post!

My sister, Esther had a bridal shower. My mom and I hosted it, and we had great support from her bridesmaids (Jenny, Shannon, and Sam).

My mom and my Grandma made the awesome food!

PINIMAGE

Coconut shrimp.

PINIMAGE

Jap chae.

PINIMAGE

Geem bap.

PINIMAGE

Esther made the desserts!

Eclairs, pumpkin somethings, and red velvet cupcakes.

PINIMAGE

Eclairs and fruit tarts.

PINIMAGE

Sam made the mexican wedding cake cookies for the gift boxes. My cousins daughter Nicole helped.

PINIMAGE

I picked out a really good tasting pineapple! That’s all I contributed for the food.

PINIMAGE

I love capturing kids eat food, especially cupcakes.

Alyssa.

PINIMAGE

Ashley.

PINIMAGE

And even the after effect.

Averi.

PINIMAGE

And even dogs trying to get after the food.

PINIMAGE

Here’s me and my buddy Ashley. Poor girl. I had her come and she could only stay for a little bit and I made her work and help me the whole time she was there. I had her make me a punch bowl full of mojitos. So at least it was somewhat fun?

PINIMAGE

Knowing that kids were going to be at the party, I wanted to keep them entertained, so I had bubbles for them.

And I couldn’t find plain bubbles. Meaning, these ones had a scent to them!

Averi blowing bubbles.

PINIMAGE

Jordan showing me he caught his bubble.

PINIMAGE

Ashley, Alyssa, and Jordan.

PINIMAGE

I like taking photos of kids because they do really cute unscripted things:)

I made a little make shift background. So here are some group/pair photos.

Shannon, Anne, Jenny.

PINIMAGE

Averi, Sue, Esther, and Jordan.

PINIMAGE

Haejean, Esther, Suejean

PINIMAGE

Esther and our aunt.

PINIMAGE

Minjung (cousin), Esther and auntie.

PINIMAGE

Esther and MJ.

PINIMAGE

Esther and Jennifer

PINIMAGE

Anne and Esther.

PINIMAGE

Esther and Cindy.

PINIMAGE

Our cousin Kimi and Esther.

PINIMAGE

Now, enough of these cheesey posed pictures!

We played a game where we made wedding dresses out of toilet paper!

Here is everyone getting ready.

Anne.

PINIMAGE

Sam.

PINIMAGE

My mom.

PINIMAGE

And the cheaters using Averi and Alyssa.

PINIMAGE

I love this picture. Averi is watching everyone on her team dress Alyssa. Let’s just say, she was not happy she was no longer getting the attention.

PINIMAGE

So she decides to start taking off her dress.

PINIMAGE

Here’s a pictures of the girls before both of them were completely stripped of their dresses.

PINIMAGE

Here are all the dresses.

PINIMAGE

Now it is decision time!

Sam is showing of the ring she made. My mom is showing off her toilet paper boobs.

PINIMAGE

They couldn’t make a decision. So they were told to do a strip tease to decide the winner.

So my mom decided she would shed the boobs first! I guess that’s where I learn my weirdness from. Her team won.

PINIMAGE

We went inside to play a different game.

Pooey had the most comfortable spot. He stayed in that position the entire game!

PINIMAGE

The game had some candy prizes. If you can’t tell, Alyssa got the blue ring pop.

PINIMAGE

And we scrapbooked. We asked everyone to bring some photos of them and Esther. For the people that didn’t bring a picture, we had a polaroid camera. And I tried to print photos out from the day on my printer until I ran out of ink.

PINIMAGE

I didn’t take photos of my sister opening presents because by then it was just Esther, me, my mom, and my grandma. My sister got some lingerie and my mom told her she didn’t need it so to give it to me… :/ I have mixed feelings about that comment.. haha

Anyways, I hope you liked all the photos!

  • Michelle P. - aww Chrissy these are really nice! And congrats to Esther too, so grown up!

Aileen from my previous blog post also modeled some of Pamela’s Parasols.

Now if you’re wondering if you’ve heard of Pamela’s Parasols then you’re right. I have previously done a photo shoot for the parasols which I have in a blog post.

Tiffani Chynel was the wardrobe stylist for this shoot.

We used 3 different parasols.

White parasol with some feathers along the outer rim

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

I love how the shadow’s hit against the parasol.

PINIMAGE

Here’s a brown parasol with feathers. More safari-ish

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

Peace sign. This one was used in the last shoot with Pamela’s Parasols but it seemed right with this environment.

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

If you would like more information on Pamela’s Parasols feel free to ask me, Tiffani, or Pamela!
