So after a day with the guys at the shooting range, the girls decided to go wine tasting around temecula.

We went to Maurices.

They had really cute wine cork containers πŸ˜‰

The ceiling was cute.

We then headed over to Southcoast. Esther and our cousin Kimi. (She’s the director of bail operations for Absolutely Affordable Bail Bonds)

The grapes!

PINIMAGE

That was my day. The gun range and winery. And also, Kimi made us an awesome steak dinner! yum. We should hang out more often πŸ˜‰

I also decided, I don’t really care much for wine. I love Sangria, but only the Sangria that I make, because I put a special ingredient in mine πŸ˜‰

On Father’s Day, I found out that my cousin John was going to go to the shooting range the next day. So I told my sister, and we invited ourselves to tag along with him! Thankfully he agreed to take us along **phew**.

Monday morning me and Esther got outselves up in the early morning (something I haven’t done in forever) and drove to my cousins place in Murrieta (just a short 50 min drive). We came in with Starbucks in our hand and mini doughnuts for the kids. I don’t actually drink coffee so I pretended with my spiced apple cider πŸ˜‰

John showed us the basics and safety protocols of handling weapons. Both Esther and I have never shot guns before.

Then it was off to the range! I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to bring my camera or not, so I didn’t come in full gear. Just my wide angle zoom lens.

Here we are.

Esther.

Me.

A couple of the guns that we used. We got to play with some .22’s and .45’s.

Esther’s turn!

PINIMAGE

My turn!

PINIMAGE

John’s turn!

PINIMAGE

We didn’t just tag along with John, but he was there to meet up with his buddies/coworkers. (John’s in the police force)

PINIMAGE

Me and my sister learned that gun’s is definitely a guys thing. It’s like how girls are about shoes and bags.

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

We also got to play with some of these. ARs? I don’t remember.

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

And you if you know me, I have to do something creative. πŸ™‚

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

We got to play with the big guns too!

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

And we went to the other side of the range.

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

I got to join in too!

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

We also got to learn about the different types of bullets there are.

PINIMAGE

I had a lot of fun at the range! I want to go back! but it definitely does a number on your arms. The bigger guns I couldn’t shoot for too long because it got too heavy for me.

For me, the .22 was easier and I was able to hit more targets, for Esther it was the .45 where she hit more targets.

Thanks John for teaching us how to handle and shoot guns! I can’t wait to go again! πŸ™‚

Fathers Day 2010 marks a momentous occasion for our family!

My uncle from Korea came to the U.S. for the first time, and none of my aunts or uncles have all been in korea at the same time. So what does that mean? It’s the first time in over 30 years? that the siblings have been together.

So from oldest to youngest, they took a picture! πŸ™‚

And with my grandma in the middle πŸ™‚

As you know, I did not take photos of the wedding during the ceremony. But I did get an opportunity to take photos during pabaek. Which is a korean tradition where the new husband and wife pay respect to the elders in their family.

Here’s Sarah and Kevin in their Hanboks.

PINIMAGE

Kevin’s grandma. There’s a tradition where dates and stuff are thrown and the couple has to catch it. It has something to do with how many children they are going to have.

PINIMAGE

Bowing to Kevin’s parents.

PINIMAGE

These are Kevin’s uncles. The men you need to impress. πŸ˜‰

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

And Kevin’s aunts.

PINIMAGE

Sarah’s Grandparents. They’re getting envelopes!

PINIMAGE

Sarah’s Mom.

PINIMAGE

PINIMAGE

Another tradition is where the groom has to piggy back his new wife.

PINIMAGE

I love the bright, Β vibrant colors. I told Sarah we have to do a couples shoot in their hanboks on a later date!

So being a girl is hard. It’s not like being a guy were you can just get up, take a shower, wash your face and put some gel in your hair and you’re off and ready to go.

For girls, you have to wash your hair the night before because if you clean your hair the day of doing it, it wont stay. Dirty hair is better. You have to get your make up done. Do your hair. Then you have to make sure when you change, your hair and make up don’t get messed up.

Anyways, here are the pictures!

In the morning after our slumber party, eating bagels and yogurt.

Some of the girls getting ready.

PINIMAGE

While waiting for the make up artist to finish up the girls, Sarah was able to take a nap and text on her phone.

PINIMAGE

It was then time for her to start getting ready.

PINIMAGE

Look at her pretty dress.

PINIMAGE

And here she is all done and pretty πŸ™‚

PINIMAGE

Here she is in deep thought, thinking about Kevin??

PINIMAGE

And here she is, excited to get married!! πŸ™‚

PINIMAGE

The next post will be of the paebaek. I couldn’t take photos during the ceremony, because, well, I’m not going to be standing up there with my camera around my neck. (That’s what the rehearsal was for).

I’m keeping these posts a little light because I’m posting them as I am editing them. So I’m posting a little bit at a time rather than the whole thing.
